Through my Lens – 15

Simplicity intrigues me more than the dazzle. Its amazing how beauty can be latent in the such unexpected things, all one needs is an eye to explore it. Come, accompany me on this quest to explore and click some shots close to nature, close to me; not from those exotic locations but from my unostentatious surroundings. Some picture purelyΒ Raw and AestheticΒ .

Here goes the picture for the week:

Ladder to the skies

Do you dare going up that ladder?
Who knows where does it lead to…maybe to the mystical skies, to those unfulfilled dreams, to unseen lands..to freedom perhaps?
Some may aspire to ascend those steps and explore the unknown and some would simply stand there, bedazzled not sure whether to put that foot forward. Sure, The path may seem difficult but it will surely lead you to your desires, whatever they may be. So, take that first step, don’t look back, keep your focus on the goal and you will see, there in front of you, lies your dream waiting for you to ascend that last step and make it come true. πŸ™‚

So, this is what the picture says to me,
Do share what it means to you!

Hi Hargun! A lovely perspective and an equally amazing interpretation:)
To me it talks of 2 rods that started together and kept on coming closer with distance;)

      Hello Prateek.
I’m glad you liked it πŸ™‚
The rods do just that, but they also don’t. The ‘angle’ did its job quite well πŸ˜‰
And I like the perspective between the lines too πŸ˜‰

      Thanks a lot!

I see anticipation – what could be up there and what will the view be like? πŸ™‚

Yes , coming back to reality and contemplating where the ladder leads to. Well, after you reach the zenith, you’ll see a water tank( visible as the black thing in the picture) placed on your left while gush of wind ruffles your hair. When you will look straight, you will see the neighbour’s house in front of you and the women of the house doing laundry most probably. :p
The nearby houses will lack any activity(on most days). You’ll also see a big tree on your left and various other smaller ones nearby many pigeons and crows could also be seen in activity.
Rest I leave to your imagination πŸ˜‰
Thanks a lot for sharing your viewpoint and giving me the opportunity to elaborate.

    To climb up
    People need support
    Walls support the ladder
    People who can

A stairway to heaven? As a photographer, I loved the way the ladder leads the eyes towards the blue sky. Simplicity at its best! As a short story writer, I can imagine various intrigues at the other end! May be, there’s nothing at the other end, possibly a couple of dragons to bite my head off! Who knows!

    Very beautiful and simple click!

I’m glad you liked it. That was the whole idea of clicking this picture- I wanted to guide the eye of the audience towards the sky πŸ˜‰
And I can assure you that no dragons would bite your head at this place… All are my aides πŸ˜‰
Thanks again for the appreciation and kind words πŸ™‚

Oh, you deserve it. The things I like about your pictures is that they are mundane things that people don’t give a second glance. It takes a refined sense of beauty to appreciate the mundane.
