Through my Lens-38

Hi there!

Welcome back to TML, a series where I share the world in photographs-some stories nature shares with us everyday, all we need to do is look.

As I type this post, I hear a sudden rumbling sound and my attention diverts from the laptop screen to the window beside me. The blazing hot sunrays are being replaced by a dimmer sunlight, caused by the clouds overshadowing the sun. The weather has been quite trecherous these past days, you would never know when it would start to rain.

And when you thought the rain had stopped and took a chance venturing out, a sudden downpour would drench you. When it was raining heavily in the morning and you thought you got a great reason to go a bit late to office, you would come to know that it was raining only in your area! So there were no flooded roads, no water to drench you and give you reason to stay back after all.

Can we ever trust the rainy days? I see the sun which had gone behind the clouds few moments ago is back in its full glory and oh, its gone again. And here comes the rumbling! Again.

This takes me back to the day(sometime last year), I was out, watching the weather change its shades. Let’s reminicence together!

The Start

This signalled the beginning of something new and beautiful.. As was told in TML-37. The cool winds, darkening of the sky, and the varied responses by each creation of nature.. Let’s observe this together!

The early responder

We are the boss!

This trio kept sitting at their place, not like our proactive friend, despite the winds.

The winds soon turned into a storm, with increased velocity. Now,There was dust blowing unabated- While some people ran to take shelter, others who were safely in their homes, sprinted to take off the clothes from clothes line.

I, being at home, went to the back area next where the clothes were. Some pigeons were relaxing there and this is how they reacted on seeing me:

Run for life..!

Towards a new home, where there won’t be any paparazzi!

Haha..! You can escape from my lens, dear pigeons.

Here is where they stopped for a break. And now you know how many of them had lined the back area!

Phew! We are back to safety

Wait, What about the living but stationary things like the trees?

Well, they were in for some on intense shocks! Stay tuned for it in the next installment, only on TML-39.

Here is a sneak peak:

Good story. I love storms, always have. For untold generations my family, until my father’s time, were high seas fisherfolk, sailing from Brittany (France) the the famous Newfoundland Grand Banks. Water, massive ocean waves and storms are in the blood! But here in the Lower Mainland of B.C., Canada, storms are a rarity. A good thunder storm is always a treat!

I hope you will like the upcoming pictures of storm too! We have them here now and then, and I have experienced being caught in a bad one myself. 😝

The birds surely didn’t expect a photoshoot then. But then, we both were lucky to have chanced upon each other 😝
