IT’S OVER AT HARGUN’S #1

over at hargun'sHELLO, NAMASTE, SAT SRI AKAL AND ADAB!

FINALLY..The mystery’s over, the secret’s out!

This is a chit chat cum interview series I’ll be hosting once a month on Sundays!

WordPress is a platform which has not only given wings to my dreams, but also made me meet many  creative and wonderful personalities with a common passion to share their cherished writings and their knowledge! Its always a pleasure to read and enjoy your works folks! I would love to meet such  innovative bloggers in flesh and blood. But Alas! All are miles away!!

Therefore, It couldn’t be ‘Coffee with Hargun’, I thought why not call them over at my corner of blogosphere and have a virtual chit chat! SO HERE IT IS..!!

HOLD ON YOUR THOUGHTS, FOCUS ON THE SCREEN AND WELCOME THE FIRST GUEST BLOGGER  AT LIVING THE DREAM-  ‘Mr Prakash B Hegade’

An avid & versatile blogger,He has a wonderful blog named, ‘Its PH’ . Currently pursuing PhD from IIIT-Hyderabad, he has also served as an assistant professor in an engineering college.

You’ll know him better as we kick start the event.  Let’s  get on with some fun!

So Mr Prakash, What led you to venture into the blogging world? When did you start your creative writing journey?

I used to write since my childhood. My first earning was from an article that got published in local newspaper. Writing has always been an inspiration to me. It started with the habit of writing daily diary. Then only recently from July 2014, I moved to WordPress. Few students were my inspiration to start a blog; I was inspired by their writings.

Wow,that’s awesome!  I too had a poem of mine published in a newspaper when I was in 5th standard. Same pinch! But sadly, no earnings from that.. just something that swelled my heart with pride at that time. My first article was published in a magazine “Tinkle” when I was in 7th grade in ‘Shout it out soap box’ column.

Now moving on to the next question, How has your experience been so far?

I don’t think there is a better stress buster.  No matter how tired I am for the day, when I login to blog, I acquire all the energy. So, in one word, I would say “incredible”.

Yes indeed! Blogging is really a great stress buster. I find it a great way to prevent my creative skills from rusting 😛

Moving forward, whenever I come to know someone’s a ‘teacher’ It immediately garners a lot of respect. Whenever I think of it, I remember my teacher from eight grade. At that time we were all somewhere in the middle of those haughty seniors and meek juniors. And we did loads of fun playing  silly harmless pranks with everyone – my classmates, the students strolling in our corridor in recess, and of course our class teacher. we had a plastic lizard with which we used to fright them all. My god,it looked pretty real. Once We put it in the attendance register and anxiously waited for the teacher to come and open it, our hearts beating wildly all the while. Then finally, she entered , opened it , and went ‘aaaaah!’  Jerking the register aside.
OK, nobody dared even a chuckle until she started laughing! Yes, she didn’t even spank us! she was such a sweet heart.  It was her last year in the school and she tried to give her best to us.
Oh now, it would take a post if I start detailing those mischiefs of little Hargun 😛

But as I know you have been this coveted profession, I’d love to hear how is it like to handle a bunch of  grown up brats. Please share your experience, some moments which make you proud to be teaching!

This is the  great post Prakash wrote to answer this!

From the Basket Full of Thoughts

Life is compilation of stories. When one asks to share any experience we just pick one and converse about it. Most of the times we pick our favorite one, relate it to the incident and gladly talk about it. That is exactly what I am going to do now. Pick up some colorful moments and throw some lights of glow.

It falls back to the time, when I used to work as an Assistant Professor (Now I have started pursuing my PhD). Am picking a thread from my four years teaching journey which I had never expected would still connote so much exceptional. Teaching engineering graduates is not an undemanding career.  Every day is a challenge.  Every moment needs effort. Along this expedition, I have met some students, who have been a constant inspiration to me. They just transform everything around. They are the motivation to bring smile on face, while heading back home after a day’s tiring work. Out of all such, I would gladly describe my CREW.  CREW?? What is it? Who are in it??

“Crew marks a bound and strength,

Crew is friendship of infinite length.

Crew ignites a spark in heart,

Crew remarks a pleasing start.”

It’s a group of sixteen. It started out as strangers, then a professor teaching a bunch of students, then a team hanging out, then a team conducting an event and then as “one strength”.

What makes a crew different?

They share and show the care.

They strategize, rise and finalize.

They promise and keep it freeze.

They fight, for the right.

They work, and keep it to the mark.

It’s not only about celebrating ones success. It’s also celebrating ones hard work. It’s also supporting each other. It’s the trust. It’s the faith and promise that we won’t give up on each other. It’s the friendship of three years and a promise that it is going to last forever! It’s not about the individual. It’s about the team. The team knows well that even without one, it’s not going to be the same anymore.

As a professor, they made my journey memorable. I relived my moments of student life when I was with them. Some people walk into our life only to stay forever. For me, crew is one such. It was god’s gift to meet such wonderful people in my life. It gives goose bumps. Really! Crew has so many lessons to take back in life: “the friendship, unity and strength”.

I would complete this note with a group picture. Here it goes!crew

A brilliant recount! Its great to know it from a teacher’s point of view. Thanks for accepting the invitation,it was nice working on this post with you, and you have been pretty supportive. Thanks a ton.

As I put the lid on, any advice for the upcoming bloggers, Mr.Prakash?

Yes. calma, patience and peace. Keep writing. It will seize time. You will be there, just when you hit the nail right on the head!

That was a befitting advice 🙂

And Thank you for reading my folks! I hope you enjoyed it 🙂

Keep hooked for the next installment- who knows maybe its you next?!

Happy blogging!
